REFLECTION OF THE RIVERSIDE ALLEY
In Rudong County, the historic “Juegang” area was once a bustling salt trade center. Now, ZAP with Architect and team of local authorities are working to rejuvenate this area by creating a new complex called “REFLECTION OF THE RIVERSIDE ALLEY.”
This project will restore old streets, protect historic buildings, and add new residential and cultural spaces. The design keeps the original stone streets and combines the area’s history with modern needs. The aim is to make the old streets lively again, blending the past with the present. This 125,000 square meters project has been a careful balance of respecting Juegang’s history while preparing it for the future, ensuring that the area’s heritage continues to be a part of everyday life. This project blend historical commercial districts, high-rise residences, cultural townhouses, and natural waterfront, forming a vibrant urban space.
